1.The Composition of TFT-LCD Display

LED is a backlight technology. IPS, VA and others are LCD technologies.

Display =backlight + LCD glass + driver plate

LCD mainly determines the basic characteristics, such as whether it can go up to 4k or 240hzo. 
The backlight determines the display, such as whether the screen is bright or not.

2.The Composition of MINI LED Display

• Mini LED is known as "sub-millimeter light emitting diode". 
• It is on a chip integrated into a high-density micro-size LED array.
• The display effect is several times better than ordinary LED, bringing high-definition comfortable visual experience.
• Mini LED is between traditional LED and Micro LED. It is simply an improved version of the traditional LED backlight.

3.Mini LED VS Regular LCD

• Contrast OLED: Higher brightness, higher reliability, longer life, better integrated black effect 
• Contrast traditional LCD:  Pure black display, Oled-like display effect, no mura

4.Mini LED Backlight +LCD Introduction: Technical Challenges

Mini-LED + LCD display challenges: Halo and white picture uniformity. They can be mitigated by algorithms, but they can't be completely solved.
